SYDNEY, 16 February, 2011: Australia’s leading enterprise solutions company, Object Consulting, has appointed Dave Durbin as Enterprise Strategist. In this newly-created role, Dave will advise the board on how Object can best leverage strategic alliances to deliver enterprise solutions that help build business advantage for their customers.

In the immediate term, Durbin will be engaging with Oracle, to fully leverage the Oracle suite and new technologies in enterprise architecture, help management structure it’s Oracle partnership, as well as adding value to Oracle products (through the provision of Object’s services and/or further development) to create tailored solutions.

The latter includes the evolution of an existing Oracle bespoke development that Object Consulting has recently implemented for one of Australia’s leading telecommunications companies.

For Durbin, this appointment continues his career of advising executives on developing bleeding-edge technology strategies.  Prior to joining Object, he worked in the CTO’s office at Westpac and, in a separate project, was responsible for the delivery of SingTel Digital Media’s online presence.

Durbin’s broader career includes more than 20 years’ experience in technology innovation – including holding senior consulting and product management roles for IBM and Sun Microsystems.

Durbin holds qualifications from Edinburgh University (in his native Scotland) and moved to Australia a decade ago. In the past 10 years he has developed a passion for scuba diving which sees him, most weekends, swimming with the sharks off Sydney’s coast.
