MELBOURNE, 01 February, 2011: Simon Price has been appointed General Manager - Assets and Products at Object Consulting. Based in Object’s Melbourne offices, he will be responsible for growing the company’s software products business, which distil Object’s 20+ years experience in developing solutions for major banking, Government and other enterprises.

Simon’s initial responsibilities are to develop Object’s three current major products:

• Process Mentor, Object’s world class programme and project management solution;
• InfoMedix, Australia’s leader in scanned medical records systems; and
• Object Grants, Australia’s leading grants management system. 

His immediate task will be assuming growing these businesses and initiating national and international partnerships with specialist resellers in each product area.

Simon brings to the role more than 25 years’ experience in the technology sector. He was previously GM - Asia Pacific for Software of Excellence and before that VP-Marketing for BMC Software as well as senior roles with Oracle and Computer Associates (CA).
 
The newly-appointed GM comments, “Object’s business model - creating software platforms from its decades of experience in enterprise solutions - is in many ways the inverse of what most companies do. Simon graduated from the University of Queensland in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree major Computer Science. He holds further qualifications from Monash University.
