Object's Recruitment Process

 

Our success has been built on the quality of our individuals and the strength of our team. That's why we have specially designed the Object recruitment process, to ensure we are a good fit for one another.

Step 1 – Apply

You can apply for one of our many advertised roles listed on the SEEK website. If you don’t see your exact role advertised, send your CV, together with details of the type of role you are interested in, to human.resources@objectconsulting.com.au. And if you have a friend who works at Object, you can ask them to pass your CV directly to our Human Resources department.

Step 2 – Phone Screen

If your CV and experience match what we are looking for, a member of our Human Resources team will be in contact to find out a little more about you. We ask questions about your experience, role and salary expectations, and career goals, and you get the opportunity to ask questions about the role and working at Object.

Step 3 – Cultural and technical interview

If the phone interview is successful, the next step is a face-to-face interview with your prospective peers and Human Resources. We want to explore your technical skills and experience in detail, and determine if you would be a good cultural fit for Object

Step 4 – Technical interview

In your next interview, your peers take a closer look at your technical abilities, particularly in relation to process. We operate on developments where architecture and methodology are critical, so you will need to demonstrate a conceptual and practical understanding for this aspect of software engineering

Step 5 – Management interviews

If your peers and Human Resources are satisfied that you would make a great addition to the team, you will meet with members of Object’s senior management. We will want to learn more about your background, confirm you will be a good cultural fit, and explain where you will fit in our structure.

Step 6 – Reference check

To ensure that you possess the appropriate experience, we talk to the referees on your resume. We recommend you advise them in advance to expect our call.

Step 7 – The offer

Once we are satisfied that you’re a natural fit for Object, we will come to a verbal agreement on terms, then follow up with a formal offer. If you feel as confident about Object as we feel about you, we hope you’ll accept and become part of a vibrant software engineering community.
