Partnership Delivers Complete Solution for Open Source Enterprise Database Management
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. And SYDNEY, Australia - November 23, 2009 - Object Consulting, one of Australia’s largest enterprise business solutions and systems integration (SI) providers, has formed a strategic partnership with Ingres Corporation, the leading open source database management company and pioneer of the New Economics of IT. The two companies will combine their expertise to provide a complete solution to Australian organizations seeking enterprise-class database management with the cost savings of open source platforms.
Ingres, the world’s second largest open source company, will contribute its database management and enterprise content management solution sets, in conjunction with global technical partner Alfresco, the leader in open source enterprise content management (ECM). Object Consulting, whose customers include Australia’s largest government, FSI, and enterprise organizations, brings to the partnership advanced expertise in delivering enterprise implementations on-time and within budget.
Answering the escalating need for businesses and government organizations to reduce the rising cost of enterprise database management and enterprise content management (ECM), the alliance will initially focus on the Ingres Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Bundle, utilizing the Alfresco open source platform and targeting Alfresco’s document management capabilities. The offering comes packaged with Ingres Database, the leading open source database that helps organizations develop and manage business critical applications at an affordable cost, and will be implemented by Object Consulting.
