Vodafone partners with Object Consulting to develop a global first desktop application

Vodafone trials online, real-time account management tool: MyVodafone Xpress
SYDNEY, 23 March, 2009 - Vodafone Australia today revealed a new desktop application, which provides customers with a fast, convenient means of managing their personal spending on mobile services. ‘MyVodafone Xpress’ is free to download from www.myvodafonexpress.com.au. The application allows customers to check their account balance, set reminders for bill payment and view up-to-date information on all mobile usage and account transactions.
Vodafone is encouraging customers to trial the beta application and provide feedback prior to its official launch later this year. MyVodafone Xpress is compatible with XP and Vista 32 bit editions. Feedback can be submitted through the website, where support is also available.
Adam Spence, General Manager for Service and Capabilities at Vodafone Australia, says MyVodafone Xpress puts Vodafone customers in complete control of their mobile spend, giving them visibility of their account 24/7.
“Vodafone has developed MyVodafone Xpress as a new service to help customers manage their mobile spending. Most Australians are now living with a heightened sense of awareness of all expenses, so this application will be an excellent tool to help Vodafone customers to track and control their mobile phone bills,” explained Adam Spence.
MyVodafone Xpress is a global first for Vodafone Australia, which has been working on the application with solution development partner Object Consulting. The beta trial of MyVodafone Express is available to the first 25,000 customers to download the application. The trial is expected to last three months with customer feedback used to develop further refinements to the application before its official launch later this year.
