Nathan Brumby joins Object Consulting to head up new Capability Improvement Division

SYDNEY, 4th April, 2005 – Object Consulting, a specialist Australian consultant, trainer and developer of enterprise software solutions, has announced the appointment of Nathan Brumby to lead the newly created Capability Improvement Division at Object. The Capability Improvement Division will provide end-to-end software process improvement services for enterprise and government organisations.

In this role Mr Brumby will lead a team that will focus on building Object's capability improvement business with emphasis on the people, processes and tools that increase an organisation's overall capability to deliver software. He will look at developing new local and international market opportunities for Process MeNtOR, Object's own world class development methodology. Additionally, Mr Brumby will focus on integrating the training business recently acquired from Software Engineering Australia with Object's own training business, Object Training. The combined offering will significantly extend the scope and geographical reach of the training services available in Australia around software engineering including; application development, process improvement and software testing.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr Julian Edwards, Chief Operating Officer, Object Consulting said, “Object has a real vision around capability improvement in the local industry and the experience, skills and relationships that Nathan brings to Object will support and enhance this vision.”

Mr Brumby brings to Object extensive experience in senior management roles from over 10 years in the information technology industry in both Australia and overseas. Most recently Mr Brumby was CEO of Software Engineering Australia, a position he held since April 2003.

Mr Brumby's previous roles include corporate advising with a focus on corporate finance, capital raising, restructure, global expansion, strategic business development and the evaluation of the Software Industry in Australia. He is a former CEO of NRG Innovations (Canada), incorporating Wireless Energy - a software R&D company focused on emerging wireless technology.

Mr Brumby is a member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM).
