Object Consulting has developed a specific offering for Solution Definition and has developed a process and a set of skills to efficiently execute the Solution Definition phase of a project. Solution Definition is the process of translating the business requirements into a set of structured, useable designs that can be used to deliver the right solution. A critical part of Solution Definition is to fully understand the overall picture, including the current architecture and business model, as well as being able to clearly define the outcomes the business is looking for, within constraints such as technology and budget. This enables priorities and options to be clearly defined to facilitate effective decision making.
Object is experienced in using a wide variety of inputs and is able to fit into any existing process to define a solution of almost any size or complexity. The end result is a set of architectures and transitioning roadmaps that clearly define how to deliver the solution with a level of detail appropriate to the organisation and its procurement and development processes.
Our Solution Definition process is generally usable either as a part of a larger project executed by Object, but is also valuable as a tool to be used by a customer who wishes to examine the feasibility of a project for minimal cost and time, or during the development of a tender request.
