About the platform
Object Connected Experience runs on Microsoft® Windows® Azure™ cloud platform. Data and images are stored in a content management system that can be shared with and accessed from other locations. We recommend the Windows platform for when Object Connected Experience is deployed within the organisation. For customer access on mobile devices, we support Microsoft platforms, Apple iOS and Android devices.
To assist customers in selecting the right mix, Object takes the concept of a “Follow Me” experience and combines this with our knowledge of touch technologies to ensure an optimal result at the lowest possible cost. Object’s Multi-Touch Solution “Follow Me” flows from Surface through Windows 7 to mobile devices and allows organisations to put forward an engaging and integrated multi-touch story that follows their customers across platforms, and from public places to work and home.

Visualisation
Surface allows display and manipulation of three-dimensional images in a very natural manner. This visualisation capability is perfect for displaying products and for accessing and manipulating increasingly detailed data.
Self-service
As people are drawn to the device, Surface adds value over a brochure rack by simply displaying pictures and basic information.
Depth of information
Surface provides the ability to link from items on the device to online information, information from LoB systems, and so on in a seamless manner. It can package requests for information and ‘package’ information for people to take away on mobile devices or view later at home.
Object interaction
A unique capability of Surface is the interaction with physical objects that are placed or moved on it. This creates a whole range of new scenarios and rich ways to have customers interact with the device. Imagine your customer place products on the device to compare them to each other.
