Sitecore took personalisation as the theme for their 2014 conference and networking event, called Digital Trendspot. They gave the event the subtitle “Own the experience”, meaning sponsors and delegates could take ownership and experience their own personal event. Sitecore approached Object Consulting to help them identify new and innovative ways to engage attendees at the conference, from their first contact, to registration, during the conference itself and afterwards. e
On the day of the conference, the “Live Notes” successfully fed supplementary content to attendees’ mobile phones. This second screen experience provided the audience with information to take away with them, as well as a deeper engagement with the content being presented. Similarly, the Trendraider app proved to be a huge success, with just under half of the 500 attendees downloading the Trendspotter mobile site and more than 70% providing ‘excellent’ feedback on the Trendraider game. The Object and Sitecore teams were inundated with compliments from excited delegates throughout the day.
